FOCA, established in January 2004, represents some of the leading charities who have devoted their existence to translating donor intent into action to relieve suffering, illiteracy and poverty around the world. Our member organizations have been committed to the principle of transparency and accountability since their formation: donors and law enforcement demand nothing less. Nevertheless, we have embarked on our Transparency Project to engage with those who think otherwise and assure our donors, our government and the international community that we have nothing to hide and will work to mitigate any deficiencies or problem areas that are exposed.
